A familiar face to many, Jim Yih is one of Canada’s leading authorities on retirement, investing and personal finance.
Jim has authored the best seller, Mutual Fundamentals (first edition), and Seven Strategies to Guarantee Your Investments. He has become a source for the media as his analysis and research have been used by the Globe and Mail, The National Post, The Edmonton Journal, The Calgary Herald, The Montreal Gazette, The Vancouver Sun, Investopedia.com and many other publications across Canada. Currently, Jim writes regular columns for The Edmonton Examiner, Moneysense.ca, FundLibrary.com, The Canadian Investment Journal and Canadian Money Saver magazine.
Jim has been featured on 880 CHQT Radio as the Financial Expert on their popular radio segment Talk to the Experts.
Jim has been in the financial services industry since 1991. He began his career training financial advisors on retirement and investment products. In 1995 he began consulting individuals in the area of retirement and investing, where he catapulted to the top 10 of Canada’s account executives with Manulife Securities International Ltd. Today, Jim is the founder and owner of CORE Financial Advisors.
